Description
The tool has a massive body, gradually thinned and widened towards the blade which ends in a bent cutting edge. It has a rectangular poll, and the lateral sides of the eye were widened in the shape of lugs in order to make it more stable.
The axe belongs to the carpentry tool category. Various types were identified due to their being specialised according to the activity they were used in – from cutting down and splitting trees to usual household tasks.
