Hammer

Title
Hammer
Description
The piece is preserved in fragments, a part of it being broken ever since antiquity. It has a massive square edge, an oval wooden handle orifice and a long arm with a rectangular profile which narrows towards the tip (it is the damaged part).
The hammer is one of the main deforming tools in the inventory of a blacksmith’s workshop. This type of tools appears in great and diversified numbers among the findings in the Dacian fortress area of the Orăştiei Mountains.
