Dividers

Title
Dividers
Description
The item has two legs in the shape of two flattened rods, sharpened at one end while the other ends in a round orifice. In this orifice there used to be a nail which united the two legs and which in its turn had a rectangular hole in the middle into which an iron wedge went. It was meant to block the two legs in a specific open position.
Dividers were tracing and measuring tools used especially by carpenters or stonemasons.
