Description
This medium storage vessel has a rounded body, a wide mouth with an everted rim decorated with channellings and a foot ring.
This particular one was decorated with a wide band of impressed scale-like motifs bounded by two rows of rosettes.
Indigenous storage jars imitate Mediterranean models (dolia, pithoi) and were used for storing provisions; this decorated one might have been used also for ceremonial purposes.
