Description
The bowl has a deep body and a pedestal. The wall is almost straight in the upper part, ending in a everted rim. The profile of the vessel is therefore similar to the letter “S”.
It belongs to the fine table ware and it is specific mainly to the Sarmizegetusa Regia area.
Find spot: Grădiştea de Munte – Meleia (Hunedoara county)
Dimensions: height - 14,3 cm; rim diameter - 40,5 cm; base diameter -10,2 cm
Material: clay, smooth brown-grey paste, containing mica and sand, burnished slip.
Technique: wheel-thrown, reduction firing
