Description
The vessel has the shape of a bi-truncated cone with its maximum diameter situated in its lower side. It has an everted rim, the bottom is narrow. The upper side of its body is ornamented with four circular bosses. It was used, most probably as a storage jar. Find spot: Costeşti – Cetăţuie (Hunedoara county) Dimensions: height - 53,5 cm; rim diameter - 23,1 cm; maximum diameter - 36,5 cm Material: semi-fine brown-yellow paste, containing mica and sand Technique: wheel-thrown, oxidation firing |
