Limestone hemisphere

Title
Limestone hemisphere
Description
This architectural element is carved as a hemisphere. Seven “ribs” are also carved in bas-relief on its circumference and four channellings on the flat bottom (these ones were probably used for mounting the artefact on a stand). This element was probably decorating the upper parts of the stone walls in Sarmizegetusa Regia.
