Description
The vase is probably inspired by the shape of a Roman glass bowl. It has the form of a truncated cone, a flared rim and a narrow bottom. The decoration consists of embossed ribs arranged vertically.
Vessel belongs to the semi-fine category and used probably for serving and consuming food.
Find spot: Costeşti – Laz (Hunedoara county)
Dimensions: height - 17,5 cm; rim diameter - 31,1 cm; base diameter - 13,3 cm
Material: clay, semi-fine brown-reddish paste containing mica and sand, burnished
Technique: hand-built, oxidation firing
