Description
The item has a tubular (cylindrical) shape, widened at one of the ends. Axle-boxes used to be attached to the hubs of chariot wheels. Most Dacian axle-boxes were made of iron and come from everyday use chariots. Bronze axle-boxes formed part most likely of funeral chariots or parade chariots.
