Description
The cup has the form of a truncated cone with straight walls, a wide mouth and a narrow bottom. The simple handle is attached under the rim and above the bottom.
This type of pot is found more rarely in the Orăştiei Mountains Dacian fortress area as opposed to the higher occurrence of findings in other Dacian settlements.
Find spot: Costeşti – Cetăţuie (Hunedoara county)
Dimensions: Height: 12,7 cm; Lip diameter: 28 cm; Bottom diameter: 7 cm.
Material: clay, rough brick-red paste, containing sand and mica schist.
Execution technique: hand-built, oxidation firing
