Description
The Situla has a flaring rim, a narrow neck a very embossed and a straight bottom. Two bronze attachments with rings for holding the handle are placer right under the lip. The item’s body is made of bronze, the handle however is made of iron. This type of vessels were used for liquids. This item was imported from the Roman world. Find-spot: Costeşti – Cetăţuie (Hunedoara county) Dimensions: H max: 17,4 cm; D mouth: 13 cm; D bottom: 10,2 cm. Material: bronze and iron Execution technique: cast (bronze) and hammering (iron) |
