Candelabrum

Title
Candelabrum
Description
The candelabrum consists of an oil reservoir with three slightly arched arms and three small chains for hanging. The reservoir is shaped like a flattened globe and features a pedestal in the lower area and a flaring rim at the upper side through which it was supplied with oil. The three arms end with a wide orifice for the wick. The chains are made of two thick bronze threads with their ends bent in a noose, twisted around the thread then passed through. The lower chains are attached to holes made in the reservoir’s flaring rim and the upper ones are tied to one another by a bronze link with twisted ends.
