This kind of tool is most commonly used in agriculture, as in digging and moving the soil. This type of hoes is characterised by an almost trapezoidal shape with more or less curved cutting edge and an oval socket. This type of tool is very frequent in the Dacian fortresses area in the Orăştiei Mountains, a few dozens of them are known from various archaeological contexts.
